Darker Weather

Hi!

Well, I am an opposite person.   Native Americans calls this a contrary.  This is a person who is outside of the norm and the opposite of what most people would be like.

For example, I get very depressed on hot days because the heat makes me very sick.   I have Fibromyalgia and so the heat and warmer weather makes me feel extremely drained.

When its dark out, the clouds are covering the sky, There is fog, rain, storms, wind, I feel completely connected.

I NEED The Rain.   I feel alive when I am out in it, I will go for a walk and get soaked even at the risk of getting sick because I feel so connected and energized by the experience.

I love to swim in the pool when it's raining.    I enjoy the cold darker weather and feel on those days I should do my main magical rituals.

I hope someday soon, Don and I can move out of Nevada and back to Oregon or somewhere in California where it rains often and where there are MAJOR Thunderstorms!

Blessings!

Ritual Elements

Things I suggest for Ritual:

1. Candles.
These can be any color that resonates in you, colors are just props and tools and in reality, you can burn a green candle for money or for luck but you can also use it for love or healing if that is what you have on hand.   Do not be limited in your Creativity within The Craft.

2. Incense.
I love to burn this when I do my rituals because for me, it sets the right mood.  Ever walked into a Psychic eye book store and smelled the whole place?    wow!

3. Sage.
I usually smudge my home to cleanse it of negative energies before I even start a ritual.  The sage smoke is said to pick up bad spirits and take them away on the wind, of course I don't believe in spirits of any kind.

4. A Drink.
You could be laying on the couch with a good book for a LONG time, You could be in meditation or contemplation for a while so make sure you have a diet cherry pepsi handy.   :)

5. Music.
Now I prefer new age like ENIGMA or ENYA but also Native American Music like ROBERT MIRABEL or R CARLOS NAKAI, sometimes though I will listen to BELINDA CARLISLE or WASP.

6. The die.
You may need to ask a question while reading.   I come across instructions often where I need to know if something is true or not or if I should pursue a certain idea, keep in mind, as a rational Witch, I am not sure I trust the die as a for sure answer but these days I tend to look at it like this: whatever the die says will make me think about what is the correct answer, kind of like when you flip a coin and know as soon as you did it what you should do.   :)

Long Time No See!

Hi!

I am alive!

Can You tell?

Don and I went out for a wonderful dinner with my family recently, Tammy, Amber, Cory and Jamie and us had mexican food, I loved it.   Great bonding time.   :)    I was right about Amber too.  I feel closest to her so far of any of them and then Cory next.   :)   sorry Jamie.   :/

I did have a bit too much to drink though and Amber helped me down the stairs!

Speaking of Booze and the practices of being a Witch because let's face it folks, this blog is about The Craft not my wacky adventures with cocktails!

Helen never drank.   She said she did not want to be confused and less than clear headed in real life let alone in ritual, she felt that drugs and booze hindered true connections to The Goddess and to working magic.

I agree.

I just am out of control a bit now because I am still trying to deal with Mom's death.   I will be ok.   :)

Blessings!
